Abstract: Musahar means quotmouse eatersquot. The Musahar were traditionally rat catchers. newlineMusahar are one of the most marginalized groups in India. Originally, Musahar were newlineforest dwellers and used to depend upon forest produce and agriculture. But eventually newlinethey have become landless agriculture laborers. They do not have any sustainable newlinelivelihood options. Socially they are considered as lowest among the Dalits. Musahar newlineare known as Aryan or Banwasi or in Bihar as Rajwar and on the plateau as Manjhi newline
