dc.description.abstractINTRODUCTION: newlineWomen experiences pregnancy as the most pleasant situation during life. Gestational newlinehypertension has been defined as elevated BP that develop gt20 weeks of gestation in a newlinepreviously normotensive woman, without proteinuria. Maternal factors, such as newlinegestational weight gain regardless of pre - pregnancy body mass index, and maternal newlineobesity that increase the risk of hypertensive disorder. Pregnancy induced hypertension is newlinedefined as systolic blood pressure gt140mmhg and diastolic blood pressure gt90mmhg. newlineMild PIH is defined as SBP 140-149mmhg and DBP 90-99mmhg. newlineMETHODS: newlineUsing the convenient sampling method subjects will be allocated into two groups; group newlineA and Group B. samples will be selected from the physiotherapy department at saveetha newlinemedical college and hospital (antenatal). Group A will receive progressive muscular newlinerelaxation; Jacobson method and breath control techniques. Group B will receive newlinebreathing control techniques and aerobic exercises which includes walking, cycling, newlineresistance training, stretching, flexibility, mobility and pelvic floor muscle training. Pre newlineand post treatment the outcome measures will be checked and statistically evaluated. newlineRESULTS: The statistics shows that p values are lt 0.0001 for both blood pressure and newlinethe beckand#8223;s depression questionnaire for the both groups but Group- A has better results newlinethan the Group-B. newlineCONCLUSION: newlineOur study concluded that Group-A Aerobic exercise and breathing control technique is newlinemore effective than Group-B Progressive muscular relaxation and breathing control newlinetechnique newline
