Abstract: | A study was made on the determination of the central tendency, variation and newlineconfidence interval of surface air temperature, which can also be regarded as ambient air newlinetemperature, in the context of Assam. This thesis has been prepared based on the findings newlineof the study. The work done in this study is based on application of the theory of statistics newline(Specially the theory of probability, the theory of statistical inference) in the field of newlineanalysis of meteorological data specially data on temperature. The background and the newlinemotivation of the study have been discussed in the following sections namely section 1.2 newlineand section 1.3 with a brief overview of the work done in the next section namely section newline1.4. newline |
