Performance Improvement Of Microstrip Antenna

Abstract

In the presented work the proposed antenna design provides compact and low cost antenna as newlinecompared to the conventional microstrip patch antenna. In this thesis two antennas has been newlinedesigned and simulated with IE3D software. The various parameters such as return loss, newlineradiation pattern and gain of the proposed antennas have been studied. The presented antenna-1 newlineprovides wide bandwidth of 76% covering the range from 2.505 - 5.576 GHz which is best newlinesuitable for WLAN and Hiper LAN application and the antenna-2 provides wide bandwidth of newline78.80% covering the range from 2.424 - 5.576 GHz which is best suitable for WLAN and newlineHiper LAN and WiMax application. In this project, a novel wide band microstrip patch newlineantennas is presented. The aim of the project is to design and fabricate a wide band newlinerectangular microstrip patch antennas and the simulation was performed by using the IE3D newlinesoftware and the s parameters of the antenna was measured. In this project we have compared newlinethe simulation results with the measured results.
