Abstract: Titanium alloy has very unique properties such as temperature resistance, high strength to weight ratio, and excellent corrosion resistance. Due to its better corrosion properties, it is used in marine and bio- medical and aerospace sectors. However, due to its thin surface oxide layer, titanium and its alloys are having good biocompatibility properties. Furthermore, titanium alloy has better mechanical properties, good elastic modulus and low density. There are various types of titanium and its alloys used for industrial applications but majorly pure titanium (cp Ti, grade 2) and grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) alloys are very extensively used materials. These types of alloys are used in hard tissue replacements in artificial bones, joints and dental implants. newline
