However, solid waste management is amongst the most poorly rendered newlineservices and negligence towards it causes environmental pollution and health hazards. newlineRapid urbanisation and growth in population has made the situation worst. newlineSolid waste management is the obligatory function of urban local bodies, but in actual newlinepractice it is given the last priority.
