Abstract: newlineModern era itself witnesses the up rise in the area of Continuum mechanics. There are newlinevarious branches of Continuum mechanics like solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, newlineclassical mechanics etc., but amongst all solid mechanics is the foremost branch of newlinescience, engineering and technology. Solid mechanics deals with the variations occur in newlinesolid structures due to the mechanical disturbances. It has many practical applications in newlinethe field of engineering and technology, like undersea technologies, navigations, newlineaerospace, geophysics, etc. It has been seen in the recent years that mechanics withholds newlinemyriad applications in industries.
