dc.description.abstract | Teacher education has gained a significant position in these days as teachers abilities and qualities are more influenced on students learning, hence it is most important to enhance the quality of teachers. While in the development of digital technologies, it is the crucial challenge to the teacher educators to understand and explore the implications of technologies in education. The knowledge and skills about the best use of Open Educational Resources (OER) for the educational purposes in the initial stage of teacher training programme will help teacher educators to use it throughout their professional development. The findings of this research present suggest that OER courseware is more effective for enhancing academic performance and teaching competency of prospective teachers than the conventional teaching method. It also provides a flexible and friendly learning environment to the learners to perform well in academic activities, signifying the role and relevance of OER courseware in the 21st century where education has become a part of digital evolution. newline | |
