dc.description.abstractThere are multiple types of innate human potential that lead an individual to perform well, in all spheres of social and personal life hence the concept of performance potential has a significant impact on all human endeavors, and is thus taken for this study. The construction of students performance potential has in the Indian context taken from higher secondary school students from Kerala, a southern state of India is taken as the subject of thesis dealing with the relationship of performance potential with forms of capital and perceived power structure in classrooms . This thesis also probes further to identify factors affecting students with high and low performance potential, classroom regression analysis and significance of difference in correlations between both performance potential and forms of capital, and performance potential and perceived power structure. The study revealed that there exists a significant positive relationship between performance potential and forms of capital newline
