dc.description.abstract | Evapotranspiration is an important parameter for hydrological and climatological studies, as well as for irrigation planning and management. The quantification of ET frequently must be preceded by determination of evapotranspiration. The penman monteith method (FAO-56-PM) is the standard method recommended by FAO-56 for estimation of evapotranspiration over wide variety of climate situations over the world and it require all type of metrological data. However at many locations there is limited data availability, therefore the standardized of climate based methods and applications of LR and ANN techniques in evapotranspiration modelling was proposed in this studies. The gird region of Madhya Pradesh was selected as the studies area by considering its potential. newlineThe limited data requiring climate base method viz. Trabert, Rohwer, Jansen-Haise, Hargreaves-Samani, Coprio, Schendel and Makkink- Hansen with Penman Monteith Method. The linear regression (LR) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) model were developed with varying input combinations were decided on the bases of climate variable required in climate base method. Model-1 with two variable as Tmax and Tmin, model-2 with Three variable as Tmax, Tmin and Rs, Model-3 with four variable as Tmax, Tmin, Rhmean and U2 and Model-4 with five variable as Tmax, Tmin, Rhmean, Rs and U2. Therefore model-1 to model-3 represent as LR and ANN models for limited data availability while model-4 represent ANN model for full data condition. The performance indices adopted for all models is the highest values of r, R2, CE and lowest values of RMSE, MAE and MAPE. Contd.... newline | |
