Abstract: | Present research was to evaluate various physiological parameters to knowing the newlinestress physiology of medicinal plants. Vitex negundo and Eclipta prostrata were newlineused for the physiochemical investigations. Seasonal variation is most important newlineaspect to understand the physiological status and medicinal properties of the plants. newlinePhotosynthetic pigments (Chlorophyll a , Chlorophyll b and Carotenoids), newlinephotosynthetic enzyme (RuBPCase), oxidative enzyme (IAA oxidase), nitrogen newlinemetabolism enzymes (Nitrate reductase and Nitrite reductase), organic constituents newline(Nitrogen, Polyphenol and Proline) and inorganic elemental concentration of V. newlinenegundo and E. prostrata have been found fluctuated due to natural stress which newlineproduced by the various environmental factors. Screening of preliminary newlinephytochemical study and characterization of various extracts of V. negundo and E. newlineprostrata were showed the presence of carbohydrates, proteins, glycosides, newlinesaponins, flavonoids, steroid, tannins and phenolic compounds. MeE of E. newlineprostrata was subjected to TLC and HPTLC fingerprinting for the quantification of newlinewedelolactone. It is a major phytocompound present in E. prostrata used to newlineevaluate pharmacological activity i.e anti-inflammatory activity. The present newlineresearch findings are helpful the mankind from rid off inflammation and allergies newlineand also it supports the folklore used of E. prostrata. newline |
