Abstract: | With the latest development in the area of power electronics, the newlinesolar power generation can be improved based on the data provided newlineby our forefathers through solar calendar. A hardware implementation newlineis done for two-dimensional tracking for sun position using Tamil newlinecalendar. In this module two stepper motors are used to rotate the newlinesolar panel in east to west direction and a DC motor rotates the panel newlinein north to south direction based on the coordinate data taken from newlinethe Tamil calendar which is a solar calendar for focusing the panel newlinetowards the Sun throughout the year. The power spent for rotating newlinethe solar panel is calculated. A comparative study with other existing newlinetechniques involved in the solar power generation has been carried out newlineand the findings showed that our method has resulted with improved newlineoutput than other techniques. newlineA Photo Voltaic (PV) cell can be made to operate at the optimum newlinepeak point with increased system efficiency. To maximize the power newlineon photo voltaic cells under various conditions, Optimum Power Point newlineTracking (OPPT) methods such as conventional and soft computing newlinemethods are used. The Adaptive Differential Evolution (ADE) newlinealgorithm is introduced in the solar module to obtain the maximum newlinepower, and it has the ability to reach the optimum peak with the newlineshorter time period. An apriori method is used in the proposed newlineADE algorithm, wherein mutation factor and crossover are used as newlinecontrol parameters to increase the speed. The ruggedness of the newlineADE algorithm is tested under different shading condition such as newlineno shading, 30% shading, and 50% shading conditions. Extensive newlinei newlinesimulation has been carried out using PV solar module, and the newlineanalysis has been tabulated and compared with the existing results. newlineFurther, hardware has been implemented and tested with this standard newlinealgorithm. newlineDuring different atmospheric environmental conditions such as newlinenormal shading and partial shading, the optimized maximum power newlinepoint tracking (OPPT) is necessary.
