dc.description.abstractDistributed energy resources (DER) are increasing as a viable element of the newlinepower system. DER are small scale energy generation sources installed near load newlinecenters and integrate with distribution networks. The increasing penetration of DER newlineintroduces economical, technical and environmental benefits as well as integration newlinechallenges for distribution network operators. The optimal size and placement of newlineDER integration with distribution networks enhance the system performance newlineparameters. In order to identify the optimal location and capacity of DER a fuzzy newlinelogic approach and game theory based approach has been proposed. The proposed newlineapproach has been applied on two different test systems, IEEE 33-node and IEEE newline69-node radial distribution networks for integrating the DER for two different test newlinecases at unity and 0.9 power factor lagging. newline
