Abstract

Bangladesh is a developing country and is covering an area of 147,570 square kilometres. The livelihood of 84 percent people in the rural Bangladesh primarily and secondarily depends on agriculture(Mirza, 2015).Agriculture provides food security, employment and livelihood to the majority people of rural Bangladesh and also produces raw material for industries. Although industries are considered as the wheel of modern economy but still agriculture is the lifeblood for Bangladesh s agrarian economy. newlineAgriculture is multi functionality in nature and thus has multiple kind of effect on industrial fabrics and socio economic condition of a nation(Ogen, 2007). Agriculture sector of Bangladesh includes fisheries, forestry, livestock and crops (Rahman et al., 2011). Bangladesh is basically a agriculture base country having a total arable landof 61.2 percentand its agriculture sector provides employment for 63 percent of the total population andcontributes 19.6 percent to the national GDP of Bangladesh;the fishery and forest sectors contribute nearly five and two percent to the national GDP of Bangladesh(www.nationsencyclopedia.com,2018). newline newline
