Abstract: In our study significant correlation was found between the macula morphology newlinedetected on fundus bio microscopy and Optical coherence tomography newline(0.00001).There was a significant correlation detected between Best Corrected Visual newlineAcuity (BCVA) and Foveal Thickness (0.0004 in Right eye and 0.00001 in Left eye). newlineThere was also very significant correlation between glycemic control (HbA1c) and newlineOCT grading of macula. (0.02 in Right eye and 0.0001 in Left eye).There was also newlinesignificant correlation noted between grading of Diabetic retinopathy on fundus newlineexamination and grading of Maculopathy on OCT(p value-0.001 in both eyes) There newlinewas also significant correlation noted between Foveal thickness and Morphology of newlinemacula on OCT( p value:0.002 ) newlineThere was no significant correlation between duration of Diabetes and OCT newlinegrading of macula. (0.204 in Right eye and 0.324 in Left eye) newlineA statistically significant correlation was found between morphology of newlinemacula detected on fundus bio microscopy and Optical Coherence Tomography newlineshowing that OCT can detect changes in macular morphology which cannot be newlineregularly seen on Fundus Bio microscopy. newline
