Abstract: | newline Last two decades of this century have witnessed a unanimous consensus for the newlineneed of a realistic environmental management drive all over the world. This newlineeffort was undertaken since the damaging effects of different pollutants among newlinewhich the industrial wastes being the major culprit that has been deteriorating newlineand depleting our natural resources very fast has been evident. The term Green newlineHRM has become the buzz word within the business field at present and its newlinesignificance is increasing manifold with the passage of time. This term has also newlineits secured position as a hot topic in recent research works since the awareness on newlineenvironmental management and sustainable development has been increasingly newlinerising day by day all-round the globe. Today the topic Green HRM not only includes newlineawareness toward environmental affairs, but also stands for the social as well as newlineeconomic well-being of both the organization and the employees within a broader newlineprospect. newlineThe aim of this study is to work on the process model and research agenda by newlinereviewing and studying green HRM policies and practices. ONGC Bhopal is newlineundertaken as study organization where green initiatives and green HR practices newlinehas been studied and an attempt has been made to draw viability of green HR newlinepractices through following research objectives: (i) To the Green HR initiatives and newlineproblem faced by HR professionals at ONGC Bhopal (ii) To study the differences in newlineunderstanding about green HRM among employees at ONGC Bhopal with respect newlineto their demographic characteristics (iii) To study the differences in employee s newlineorganizational citizenship behaviour and commitment with respect to different newlineorganizational hierarchy and tenure of services at ONGC Bhopal (iv) To assess the newlineimpact of green initiatives taken at ONGC on employees citizenship, commitment newlineand corporate performance at ONGC Bhopal (v) To assess the impact of newlinedifferent HR practices on employees citizenship, commitment and corporate newlineperformance at ONGC Bhopal (vi) To provide suitable suggestion |
