Recent innovations in Intelligent Transportation systems and Vehicular Ad-Hoc networks have created a lot of interest in enhancing the safety and comfort of the passengers. Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) is a network of vehicles equipped with devices that enable the vehicle to communicate with other vehicles and the Road Side Unit (RSU). The VANET projects and applications aim to assist safety of the passengers, provide traffic information, enhance comfort and communicate useful information. The aim of this research is to propose and model a system VEKIT (A Kit for Vehicles) to add value to the VANET projects, by assisting in the control of environmental pollution and providing security to VANET deployment. In near future, each vehicle may have some form of wireless communication facility. The vehicles may be equipped with sensors delivering various parameters with a visual display to the driver. These parameters may be transmitted to a Road Side Unit which is a part of the VANET infrastructure and also broadcast to neighbouring vehicles. Experiments are being carried out in all parts of the world using different technologies to model various applications related to VANET newline
