Abstract: Wound healing, being a complex phenomenon, requires collective energies of various tissues and cell lineages. Wound healing aims at speedy recovery with least scarring and utmost function. Hence this has been a major area of research over a period. Antibiotics also known as antibacterial are the drugs used to treat infections. It so happens that some antibiotic cause hypersensitivity and allergic reactions in people. The drugs used in would healing like anti-microbial, antibiotics cause adverse reactions. Sometimes, these adverse reactions pose managing issues than the disease which needs to be cured. Nanotechnology has emerged as a latest therapeutic modality for the use of nanomaterials to reduce the inflammation of wound, antimicrobials and in diagnostics. Nanotechnology is acquiring enormous stimulus today due to its inclination of changing metals and non-metals into its nano-size which remarkably changes its physiochemical properties. However, the metal nanoparticles are reported to toxic and their long-term usage can cause severe side effects. Thereby our present investigation aims at synthesizing the non-metal carbon dots nanoparticles and evaluating their pharmacological activities like wound healing, cytotoxic, and antibacterial activity.
