Abstract: | In the present days, wireless systems have become an essential part of the newlinecommunication devices, that permits the users to communicate f rom remote operated newlineareas. There are many devices used for wireless communication like mobiles. newlineCordless telephones, Zig bee wireless technology, GPS, Wi Fi, satellite television and newlinewireless computer parts. Current wireless phones include 3G and 4G networ ks, Blue newlinetooth and Wi Fi technologies. Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) have been newlineproposed to support dynamic scenarios where there is no network infrastructure. Each newlinehost acts as both router as well as node to forward the data packets to the sink node. newlineMAN ETs are applicable to various domains such as military, disaster recovery newlineoperations, rescue operations, etc. where there is no communication infrastructure. newlineRouting protocols designed for MANETs can be broadly classified into Topology newlinebased, Geographic po sition based and Hybrid. Topology based routing uses network newlinestate information for route discovery. Geographical position based routing uses node newlinelocation to route the packets. Hybrid combines merits of both position based and newlinetopology based for directing the data packets from source to destination. Routes that newlineare built over a dynamic network topology are vulnerable to communication link newlinebreakages, which leads to interruption in data transmission and packet loss. To reduce newlinethe detrimental effects of node mo bility on network performance, two routing metrics newlineto guide hosts in discovering and maintaining stable routes are proposed. Trust path newlineensures packet delivery ratio and reduces the packet dropping which results in saving newlineof bandwidth and energy of the mobil e nodes. Hence, the objective is to reduce the newlinenetwork resource constraints which in turn enhances the lifespan of the mobile nodes. newlineVarious. newline |
