Abstract: Researchers have been trying since a long to find out the factors responsible for newlineachievement of children at schools (Sakirudeen and Snni, 2017). Besides many cognitive newlinefactors, past researchers have identified non-cognitive factors like parent involvement newline(Henderson and Mapp, 2002) and study habits (Siahi and Maiyo, 2015) of students as newlinepertinent factors of educational achievement. When parent involvement and study newlinehabits both are related with achievement of students, the relation between the two drew newlinethe attention of researcher for the purpose of study owing to dearth of adequate past newlinestudies. The researcher conducted the present study in Ganjam district of Odisha newlinebecause of its cultural rigidity and existence of gender related issues. The following newlineresearch questions were framed for the purpose of investigation. newlineand#9642; What is the pattern parents involvement in education of adolescent boys and newlinegirls in Ganjam district of Odisha? newlineand#9642; How are the study habits of high school adolescent boys and girls in Ganjam newlinedistrict of Odisha? newlineand#9642; Do education and occupation of parents influence their involvement in education of their wards? newlineand#9642; Does students study habit significantly correlate with involvement of parents newlineof adolescent students? newlineThe study was guided by the following objectives: newline1 To assess the involvement of parents in education of their wards (PI) studying newlinein high schools (particularly Class IX); newline2 To examine the influence of Gender of students, Education and Occupation of newlineparents on Involvement of parents in education of their wards (PI); newline3 To assess the Study Habits of students studying in high schools (Class IX) of newlineGanjam district; newline4 To examine the study habits of high school students in terms of gender of newlinestudent, education and Occupation of parents; and 5 To study the relationship between study habits of the students and involvement newlineof parents in Education of their wards (PI). newline
