Abstract: In India 39% of population are children. According to the National policy, children have been considered as an integral part of national development. Globally children are loved as they have a special place in the lives of the people but a large number of children become a cause of sorrow because of illness and untimely death. Diarrhoea is the second leading cause of death in children under 5, accounting for 9% of under 5 deaths. Approximately, 70% of these occur in first 2 years of life. Diarrhoea is also a leading cause of malnutrition in children under 5 years old. Aim of the study to assess the knowledge of mothers by computer assisted teaching on ORS with Zinc supplementation in managing diarrhea among under five children in a selected rural community of Bhopal (MP). The present study was proposed to be conducted in selected areas of selected Kalapani Community of Kolar Primary Health Centre Bhopal Bhopal. Quantitative research is an applied form of research that involves finding out how well a programmer, practice, procedure or policy is working and is adopted for this study. Sample Technique Non-probability purposive technique was used. The accessible population for the present study was mothers having at least one under five child. The investigator used the structured questionnaires to assess the knowledge regarding use of zinc supplementation with ORS in managing diarrhea which consisted of 26 questions on meaning of diarrhea, causes, and management with zinc and ORS. As per research design, it was decided to conduct a computer assisted teaching for the mothers of under five children included in the study. The Content Validity Index was calculated where the Item Content Validity Index The final tool was translated in Local language and was validated English language expert It was validated by both language experts. There was no difference in sentence construction. Reliability of the Structured Questionnaire tool was established by statistically computing the coefficient alpha by a test re-test method.
