Abstract: | The perovskites materials exhibit diverse applications in different fields newlinelike luminescence and sensing. The emission of light from a substance caused by the newlinerelease of energy stored after exposure to energized radiations such as gamma, X-ray, newlineUV, electron, neutron, and ion beams is called luminescence. A Sensor is a material newlinethat covert a physical quantity into an impulse that can be measurable by using digital newlinegadgets. Today s world gives at most importance to both luminescence and sensing newlinebecause of its broad scope of applications in various disciplines of life. Hence, keeping newlinein the view of obtaining the improvised multifunctional applications out of the single newlinematerial, we planned to carry out the luminescence, humidity, and gas sensing response newlinestudies using perovskite structured LaAlO3 nanoparticles doped with Sm3+, Eu3+, Dy3+ newlineions. LaAlO3:RE3+ (1-9mol%) nanoparticles were fabricated by solution combustion newlinemethod using sucrose. newlineThe present work was mainly divided into four phases: newlinePhase-I briefly notes the luminescence, humidity sensing, and gas sensing response of newlineundoped LaAlO3 nanoparticles, which show the perovskite lanthanum aluminate can newlinebe a better host for multifunctional applications for fabricating light-emitting devices newlineas well as humidity and toxic gas sensors. newlinePhase-II reports about optical behavior and sensing response of humidity parameters newlineof LaAlO3: Sm3+ nanoparticles. newlinePhase-III accounts for the optical behavior and sensing response of humidity newlineparameters of LaAlO3: Eu3+ nanoparticles. newlinePhase-IV describes the luminescence, humidity sensing, and toxic gas sensing newlineresponse of LaAlO3: Dy3+ nanoparticles. newlineThese phases briefly explain the framework of this thesis. newlinevi newlinePhase-I newlineThis chapter accounts for the synthesis of LaAlO3 nanoparticles using Sucrose, E. newlineTirucalli plant latex as fuels through the solution combustion synthesis method.
