Abstract: | Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and Nano newlineelectromechanical (NEMS) devices are extremely utilized to harvest newlineenergy from the environment as they have gained tremendous interest newlineamong researchers and because of rapid development in variety of newlineapplications. Research institutes and industries have made incessant newlineventures for developing and producing smaller and better MEMS, newlineNEMS devices and components. The micro-energy and nano-energy newlineharvesting devices are the recent trend in environmental waste energy newlineharvesting. newlineLow frequency mechanical vibrations are abundantly available newlinein the environment. The harnessed power can be used to power up low newlinepower wireless sensor networks which are remote and difficult to power newlineup. One such respondent is the piezoelectric energy harvester that newlineconverts the energy that is required to electrical output signal. newlinePiezoelectric energy harvesting scheme has trawled many researchers to newlineidentify suitable model and structure that provided better electrical newlineoutput occupying less area. newlineThe excerpt of exhaustive literature survey carried out in this newlinework was helpful in identifying the research gap. It was noted that area newlineand power output are very crucial parameters influencing the current newlineresearch activities in energy harvester. There is an existence of trade-off newlinebetween area and electrical output in both MEMS and NEMS based newlineenergy harvesting structures. This research work is based on the newlineinvestigation on the electrical characteristics of the MEMS based newlinevi newlinecantilever beam structure and NEMS based nanowire newline |
