Abstract: newline known as blackgram, mash, mashkalai, black mapte, etc. Due to its nutritional and newlineindustrial importance, it ranks as the fourth most significant short-duration pulse crop in newlineIndia. In India during 2020 21, blackgram was cultivated over an area of 41.43 lakh ha newlineand recorded a production of 22.30 lakh tonnes at a productivity level of 538 kg/ha.
