Introduction newlineEndodontic management of teeth with periapical lesions aims at promoting newlinehealing of the affected periapical tissue. Sealers placed in the root canals newlineinterfere with periodontal tissues through the apical foramina, lateral canals, or newlineleaching and can potentially affect the healing process in the periodontium. newlineAim newlineThe aim of the present study is to evaluate and compare the healing of newlineperiapical lesions after root canal treatment using BioRoot RCS, AH Plus and newlineTubliseal as sealers. newlineMethodology newlineA total of 63 single rooted teeth with PAI score 2 or more underwent root newlinecanal treatment. The sealer was randomly chosen at the time of obturation and newlineallocated to 3 groups; Group 1- Tubliseal (Zinc Oxide Eugenol based sealer), newlineGroup 2- AH Plus (Epoxy Resin based sealer) and Group 3- BioRoot RCS newline8 of 126 newline(Tricyclic silicate sealer). Area of the periapical lesion was evaluated newlineradiographically at baseline, one and three months and was subjected to newlineappropriate statistical analysis. newlineResults newlineThere was a statistical significant reduction in the area of the periapical newlinelesion for all the three groups at 3 months (p and#706;0.05). The mean difference in the newlinearea of the periapical lesion for group 1, 2 and 3 were 4.05, 3.86 and 6.27. newlineConclusion newlineWithin the limitations of this study Bioroot RCS showed better periapical newlinehealing compared to AH Plus and Zinc oxide eugenol sealers at 3 months of time newlineinterval. Three month time interval was adequate to establish significant newlineperiapical healing in all the three groups newline
