Abstract: Aim and Objective newlineTo assess the vertical marginal discrepancies of the zirconia-based newlinetooth-supported fixed dental prosthesis fabricated using Ceramill®, Lava®, and newlineZirkonzahn® CAD-CAM milling materials. To analyze which among them newlineproduced the least vertical marginal discrepancy. newlineMaterials and Methods newlineThe study was an in-vitro study assessing the vertical marginal discrepancies newlineof zirconia-based tooth-supported fixed dental prosthesis fabricated using three newlineCAD-CAM milling materials namely Ceramill®, Lava®, and Zirkonzahn®. newlineThe prepared teeth in the typodont dental model were scanned using a newlineMedit® Lab Scanner and the data was exported as an open Standard newlineTessellation Language (STL) file format into the 3 Shape® TRIOS designing newlinesoftware for designing the three-unit fixed dental prosthesis. The design was newlinethen sent to the Computer Numerical Control (CNC) milling machine for newlinefabricating zirconia-based tooth-supported fixed dental prostheses. These newlinemilled specimens were then viewed under a Binocular Stereo Microscope for newline12 newlinerecording the vertical marginal discrepancy. The study thus consisted of three newlinegroups namely Ceramill, Lava CAD-CAM, and Zirkonzahn CAD-CAM milling newlinematerials and 6 samples per group. The vertical marginal discrepancy of these newlinethree groups was assessed using the one way ANOVA test using the statistical newlinesoftware. newlineResults newlineThere was no statistically significant difference in the vertical marginal newlinediscrepancies measured among all three groups. newlineConclusion newlineWithin the limitations of the study, it is concluded that Ceramill®, Lava®, newlineand Zirkonzahn® CAD-CAM milling materials, when fabricated using a 5 axis newlineCNC milling machine and provided vertical marginal discrepancies which were newlinewithin the clinically acceptable range. newline
