Abstract: | newline Sheets for vehicle control panel and doors, structure wall newlineinsulation, railway waggon panels, and aeroplane interiors are all using newlinehybridised laminate materials with natural fibre reinforcements. Natural newlinefibres have advantages such as lightweight, enhanced strength, low cost, newlineeasy obtainability of materials, and reduced environmental deprivation. newlineSynthetic fibers are available at low cost and are easy to manufacture. newlineThere is a need to find the suitable stacking sequences that are possible newlineby using the same natural fibers which can give better properties. newlineIn this research work, hybrid laminates having three different newlinereinforcement materials like glass fibers, aloe vera fibers and roselle newlinefibers were produced using hand layup method. The two natural fibers newlineused in the hybrid laminates were subjected to chemical treatment to newlineremove its hygroscopic properties. Three layers of natural fibers were newlinesandwiched between glass fibers to make the hybrid laminates to get newlinefour different stacking sequences, i.e., GAAAG, GRRRG, GARAG and newlineGRARG respectively. The natural fibers were laid in four different newlineorientations, i.e., 0o newline, 30o newline, 45o newline, and 60o newline, orientations. The produced hybrid newlinelaminates were subjected to testing for their mechanical characteristics newline(tensile behaviour, flexural behaviour, impact behaviour and Dynamic newlineMechanical Analysis). Wear test were carried out to test their |
