Abstract: It is imperative to identify the specific adsorbents for the expulsion of newlineharmful hexavalent chromium at high concentration from water. The higher newlinedeacetylated (90%) Chitosan-coated Magnetic nano adsorbent (MC) was newlineprepared by coprecipitation method and it was effectively utilized for the newlineremoval of non-biodegradable hexavalent Chromium from its aqueous newlinemixture. XRD analysis revealed that the MC adsorbent is highly newlinecrystalline, size of 24.5 nm free from impurities. The FESEM morphology newlinedepicted that the presents of similar sized spherical particles. The VSM newlinehysteresis curve indicated that the MC nanoadsorbent is superparamegnetic newlinewhich posses the magnetization value of 18.43 emu/g. The MC adsorbent newlinehas an outer surfaces exhibiting NH2 functional groups which were acting newlineas an adsorbent sites was revealed by FTIR analysis. The batch adsorption newlineexperimental results were revealed that the MC nano adsorbent had greater newlinepotential to eliminate Cr6+ from water upto 96.3%. The optimal operating newlineconditions and the statistical experimental model of the batch adsorption newlinewere obtained by computing the experimental results with the Box- newlineBehnken design in Design Expert software which provides the RSM. The newlinemaximum percentage reduction of Cr (VI) is 96.3 that was obtained by newlinemagnetic chitosan with the optimal operating conditions of 149.53 mg/L at newlinepH of 5.32 at the contact time of 80 min and at the temperature of 303 K. newlineThe average diameter of the magnetic chitosan was calculated from XRD newlineanalysis as 24.5 nm. The bunch adsorption component was investigated newlinewith rate kinetics, and intra-particular-diffusion. The exploratory newlineinformation is appropriately fitted with the Langmuir and pseudo-firstkinetics. newlineFrom the batch test at various working temperatures, it was newlinedistinguished that the Cr(VI) reduction is characteristically exothermic and newlineunconstrained. The suitability of magnetic chitosan MC nano adsorbent newlineix newlinewas additionally analyzed in order to treat Cr(VI) polluted water samples newlinegathered from surface, underground, and tannery
