Abstract: newline A magnetic field is a magnetic effect of electric currents and newlinemagnetic material. In everyday life, magnetic fields are most often newlineencountered as a force created by permanent magnets, which pulls on newlineferromagnetic materials such as iron, cobalt, or nickel, and attract or newlinerepel other magnets. Magnetic fields are widely used throughout modern newlinetechnology, particularly in electrical engineering and electro mechanics. newlineUse of magnet implies lots of benefits likes no external power required newlineand does n newlinerespect to time. newlineThe present research based on application of permanent magnets newlineon fuel containing hydrocarbons such as Diesel, Petrol, Liquefied newlinePetroleum gas and refrigerants. Hydrocarbons molecules are densely newlinepacked structure due to physical attraction forces, which is further newlineorganized into a cluster, which relatively results in a stable structure and newlinegrueling for oxygen atoms to enter into their internal structure during newlinemixing process. On application of magnets, the intermolecular bonds newlinebetween hydrocarbon chains get weakens resulting in improvement of newlinefuel properties specially viscosity. newlinevi newlineViscosity of the hydrocarbon fuels is investigated with increasing newlinenumber of magnetic pairs on fuel line at different positions. Test was newlinecarried out at different positions of the fuel line. Experimental results newlinehave shown 23% reduction in viscosity of Petrol when the magnets are newlineplaced at center of fuel line. With this improvement in fuel property an newlineexperiment test conducted on single cylinder four-stroke petrol engine newlinewith three pairs of magnet each of 3000 Gauss are applied on fuel line. newlineIt is observed that the mechanical efficiency improves by 10% with 3% newlinelesser fuel consumption as compared to fuel exposed to magnetic field. newlineMagnetic field showed positive effect on domestic LPG cooking gas newlinestove with 60
