dc.description.abstractThepresentPh.D.thesisaddressesthelinearandnon-linearconvectionproblemsofBoussinesq newlineStokessuspension(couple-stressand#64258;uid)inthepresenceofuniformlyappliedmagneticand#64257;eld newlinetaken in the vertical direction, by considering the following inand#64258;uences: newline1. temperature dependent volumetric heat source, newline2. temperature dependent viscosity, newline3. Coriolis force, newline4. gravity modulation. newlineThe thesis discusses both individual and the combined inand#64258;uences towards the onset of newlineRayleigh Bénard convection. The abstract is an abridged content of the research work newlinecarried out on Rayleigh Bénard convection under the above mentioned inand#64258;uences. The newlinechapter-wise description of the proposed problems to be reported in the Ph.D. thesis is newlinementioned below in brief. The scope of the thesis lies in quantifying heat transport and newlinealso exploring the regulation of the same under the various inand#64258;uences. The governing newlinestability equations in the presence of these factors resulting in the system of partial differ newlineential equations followed by variable coefand#64257;cients which are highly non-linear. Because of newlinethisfact, weinevitablyresorttonumericalproceduresbasedonthevariationalapproachof newlinethe Rayleigh-Ritz method and Runge-Kutta Fehlberg 45 methods. These methods help in newlineanalyzing the criteria for the onset of convection and heat transfer. newline newline
