Abstract: The Indian audience got the first experience of seeing moving images on screen on July 07, 1896. It was the day when Lumiere Brothers screened their short films at Watson s Hotel of Bombay (now Mumbai). What the audience saw that day was earlier unimaginable for them and thus, they were left enthralled. It was an occasion which made history, as far as development and spread of films across the globe is concerned. There was a time when actors and actresses would perform in front of hand painted backdrops, and would sit in stationary cars while there was a projected video of a road in the background. From there to the present day, things have definitely come a long way. Today s success of the Indian film industry is the result of a long struggle. In the present times, films have become the part and parcel of every Indian, whether he/she is living in a city or in a village. There were times when the Indian television consisted of precisely one government run channel, broadcasting a few hours a day in black and white; now there are about 200 channels beaming all the serials, shows and movies of the world. Over the years, the movie making business has developed, both in terms of content and in terms of technology. The task of making films is a very elaborate, timeconsuming and extensive in terms of gathering the resources and overall management. This also requires the help of technology and its accomplishments to create a movie which will be able to enthrall the audiences with its good quality of pictures and sound. Thus, the research was necessary to be carried out so that facts related to the impact of technology on particularly Hindi film industry and its effects in terms of visual effects, sound effects, entertainment, audience experience, and business could be gained effectively. Indian film industry is known as the most sought-after industry that provides entertainment to the viewers and has increased its market significantly over the years.
