Abstract: | As microbiological contamination is closely related to different problems like food newlinesafety, water system property, and public health, microorganism assessments during this setting newlinehave to be compelled to be improved. Herein, we tend to demonstrate a paper-based diagnostic newlinemethod development for point-of-care testing. Traditional methods for detecting bacteria rely newlineprimarily on cell culturing or polymerase chain reaction (PCR), which require highly trained newlineperson and a central laboratory and take several hours or even days to deliver results. Low-cost newlinemethods like lateral flow immunoassays exist but frequently suffer from poor sensitivity results. newlineHere, a rapid method for detecting bacteria at very low concentrations is presented using PCR. newlineThe method was tested with E. coli., S. aureus and C. albicans. In the final part of study, we tend newlineto describe this developed paper-based PCR method was tested with bacterial contaminated food newline(juice and milk), water and artificial urine sample. The developed method sensitivity was shown to newlineown greatly reduced the total analysis time (below 2 to3 hours). Sample collection process is newlinevery user friendly, no need of technical person for sample collection. We can collect the samples newlinefrom remote areas by using this simple paper-based technique newline |
