Abstract: | The research work carried out involves chiral separation and identification of enantiomers of and#946;-blockers (Propranolol, Atenolol and Betaxolol), and#946;2-adrenoreceptor (Terbutaline), calcium channel antagonists drugs (Verapamil and Gallopamil), potential proton pump inhibitor drugs (Pantoprazole and Rabeprazole), and potential antibiotic drugs (Ofloxacin and Cefotaxime) using supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC). The enantio-separation of these and#946;-blockers, and#946;2-adrenoreceptors, calcium channel antagonists, potential proton pump inhibitors and potential antibiotics were achieved using immobilized chiral stationary phase such as Chiralpak IA, Chiralpak IB, Chiralpak IC, Chiralpak IE, Chiralpak IG and Chiralpak IBN5 columns. newlineThe SFC chromatographic validation was carried out under System suitability test, resolution, the tailing factor, retention times, and the peak area (%RSD) were calculated. The outcome of correlation coefficient and regression coefficient (r2) were gt 0.999. The percentage assay for intra-day precision was computed for both the enantiomers of atenolol, propranolol, betaxolol, methoxyverapamil, verapamil and terbutaline and found in the ranges of 99.78 99.92 and 99.36 99.44; 99.22 99.96 and 99.38 100.12; 99.12 100.16 and 99.24 100.08; 99.23 99.70 and 99.36 99.91; 99.28 99.62 and 98.52 99.78; and 99.27 100.16 and 99.45 100.06, separately, and respectively. Similarly, the % RSD for all the assays of atenolol, propranolol, betaxolol, methoxyverapamil, verapamil and terbutaline in intra-day newline |
