Abstract: Introduction: Creylman et al. (2016) state that 200-500 million amputations worldwide are done each year and the bulk of this i.e. approximately 85% are lower limb amputations (LLA). According to Dinesh Mohan and Sahu, et al.2016, 0.62 amputees per thousand population, is the rough incidence and this equals approximately 1million people with amputations in the country. newline
