Abstract: Chapter 1 contains basic results, which will help to understand the subsequent chapters. Inertia of the special Loewner matrices was discussed by the authors in -17, 18- and they raised a question about their determinants therein. In Chapter 2 this question is answered and in Chapter 3 determinants of more associated matrices are obtained. newline newlineMathematicians are fascinated towards matrix or operator means from the beginning. Chapter 4 comprises various inequalities among them. Chapter 5 consists of contractive operators on operator ideals and their applications to norm inequalities. newline newline
