Aim newlineThe aim of this study is to compare the efficiency of Cervitec®Plus with Fluor newlineProtector® varnish on the incidence of white spot lesions in patients newlineundergoing orthodontic treatment. newlineMaterials and methodology newlineThe study was designed as a prospective control trial, which included 30 newlinepatients. This is a split-mouth study in which Cervitec®Plus varnish was newlineapplied on the right side of the upper arch and Fluor Protector® varnish on the newline11 of 109 newlineleft side of upper arch. The Enamel fluorescence values were noted using the newlineDiagnodent pen in three time intervals T0(Before bonding), T1(one month after newlinestrap up), T2 ( two months after strap up). newlineResults newlineA paired t test revealed a significant amount of reduction in the value of enamel newlinefluorescence between the T0 and T2 groups and between the T1 and T2 time newlineinterval between the Cervitec®Plus and the Fluor Protector® group. A newlineMann-Whitney Test comparing the Cervitec®Plus group with Fluor Protector® newlinegroup showed no significant difference between the two groups. newlineConclusion newlineThere is no significant difference between the Cervitec®Plus varnish and Fluor newlineProtector® varnish in reducing the incidence of white spot lesions in patients newlineundergoing orthodontic treatment. newline
