The work encompasses systematic development of lipid-based drug nanocarriers of artemether and lumefantrine for effective treatment of uncomplicated and cerebral malaria through peroral and intranasal routes for drug administration, respectively. Extensive in vitro and in vivo studies, including particle size analysis, solid state characterization, cellular, pharmacokinetic and antimalarial efficacy, ratify improved biopharmaceutical and therapeutic outcomes of the prepared nanoformulations. Application of QbD paradigms, during systematic development of proposed formulations and analytical methods, furnished holistic product and process understanding, while attaining the desired objectives. newline
