Abstract: | Fossil fuel depletion and climatic changes due to global warming has newlinepushed the developed and developing countries to turn their attention towards newlinerenewable energy. Among all the available renewable energy, solar energy newlinehas gained the interest of the scientist and researchers around the globe owing newlineto its easy availability, eco-friendly nature and better efficiency. Solar thermal newlineconversion as en efficient way through which the solar energy can be newlineconverted useful form of heat energy. Solar water heating system is one of the newlinetechnology which use the principle of solar thermal conversion to provide hot newlinewater for various domestic and industrial applications. newlineSolar water heater works under the principle of collecting heat from newlinethe sun and converting into the heat energy through heat transfer fluid. newlineCollector is the vital part of the solar water heating system. It converts the newlineincident solar radiation to the heat energy. Among available collectors, newlineCompound Parabolic Collector was chosen owing to its better efficiency newlinecompared to other collectors. newlineEfficiency of the solar water heating system is improved by increasing newlinethe heat transfer rate of the system. Heat transfer rate of the system can be newlineimproved by modifying the tube geometry, providing heat transfer newlineenhancement devices into the absorber tube and using nanofluid as working newlinefluid. Modifying the tube geometry stipulates turbulence in the flow and newlineensure good mixture of fluid particles. It also increases the surface area of the newlinetube which newline |
