Abstract: | A school is as good as the principal, so school head/principal s leadership plays a vital role in the performance of the school. Now schools, like other organisations, are facing greater uncertainty and new challenges and they have also been urged to make significant change to adapt and survive. Creative leadership among the school head/principal can bring about creative change and in turn, influence the school performance. It is in this context that the present study adopts quantitative research to examine the performance of schools in urban and rural Bangalore districts in terms of creative leadership among heads of the institution and school culture. The current study intended to evaluate the effect of creative leadership of school heads/principals on school performance according to the different groups of types of school management and location of schools in Bangalore. Similarly, to study the relationship between school performance and school culture according to the different types of school management and location of schools in Bangalore. The current study analyse the creative leadership among school heads/ principal that prevails in different types of school management and location of schools in Bangalore. The study intends to examine the performance of secondary schools with reference to types of school management and location of schools in Bangalore. The study investigates the level of school culture of secondary schools with reference to types of school management and location of schools in Bangalore. newlineThe hypotheses of the study were tested through a well-structured questionnaire and quantitative responses obtained from 88 high school principals, 750 teachers, and 1500 students from rural and urban Bangalore from various school management (Government schools, private aided schools, and private unaided schools) were evaluated. A non-parametric test was employed to understand the relationship and significant difference between the dependent and independent variables. newline |
