dc.description.abstractThe fundamental significance for power electronics include power newlineconversion, AC to AC, AC to DC and vice versa, power conditioning for newlineremoving voltage dips, overvoltage and distortion. Frequent control or high newlinespeed of electrical parameters include voltage, phase angles, impedance and newlinecurrent. Few instances of these issues that happen as a result of quality issues newlineinclude data errors, circuit board failure, automatic resets, equipment failure, newlinepower loss issues, overheating etc. These issues lead to various disturbances newlinelike voltage swell, transient voltage, voltage sag and harmonic distortion. newlineThese systems find applications in various areas like motor drive applications, newlinetransmission, static application, interfacing etc. The power supply quality is newlinehighly essential to provide electricity to the users. This comprise of supply of newlineavailability, waveform characteristics, frequency, voltage magnitude etc. newlineWhen a constant power supply is available, the power is said to be of high newlinequality with stable voltage and frequency. It is also regarded as the sinusoidal newlineform (smooth). Hence the study intends to mitigate voltage sag through the newlineproposed system to minimize the voltage sag. It aims to shoot via time based newlineControlled Pulse Generation (CPG) for Z-Source Inverter (ZSI). An enhanced newlineSpace Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) is employed in this study newlineto perform shoot control via time as well as to afford the output with minimum newlineTotal Harmonic Distortion (THD). A new controlling approach is also newlineproposed to reduce the voltage sag impacts using the Dynamic Voltage newlineRestorer (DVR). This is utilized for protecting the system from sensitive newlineloads. However, it consists of certain drawbacks namely enhanced voltage newlinerestrictions, minimum capacity on compromising the high transients as well newlineas the line voltage. To solve these challenges, DVR utilized in the work newlinevi newlinecomprise of leg inverter of three phase as well as LC filter so as to eradicate newlinethe unnecessary frequencies.
