Abstract: | Development in the area of electronic component and control of motion applications and different types of materials have granted new motivation to design of new categories of energy-efficient and consistent electric motors. Newer advances in the arena of magnetic materials and technology also fetched noble revolutions in motor fabrication. Brushless DC Motor (BLDCM) has gained wide industrial acceptance due to its advanced features and a high energy density. These features lead to find optimum solution to control the different parameters mainly speed and torque of BLDC Motor drive. This research work is grounded on the application of various kinds of controller to govern the speed of the BLDC motor to an optimum level. In the way of this research work, the open loop system is analysed for both loaded and not loaded state in MATLAB Software. In open-loop based newlinecontrol strategy of self-controlled BLDC drive, mainly three input parameters such as dc bus voltage, load torque and sensor angle are considered to establish the typical transient response of the drive system. The sensor angle variation is a novel concept of controlling the speed of BLDC motor drive in an open loop motor drive system. The closed loop model of BLDC Motor Drive is simulated with different classical controllers and fuzzy controller. A fuzzy controlled pulse width modulation operated BLDC drive ensures the nearly zero steady-state speed error in this proposed approach with reduced ripple in the electromagnetic torque. Also, two optimization technique, PSO and GA is applied to get further better response in MATLAB domain. |
