Abstract: ABSTRACT newlineAn experimental study was conducted to assess the Effectiveness of Planned Teaching Programme on knowledge regarding Glasgow Coma Scale among Staff Nurses working in selected Hospital at Bhopal Objectives of the Study were, to develop a Planned Teaching Pragramme on Glass Coma Scale., to assess the existing knowledge about GCS among the Staff Nurses working in selected Hospital at Bhopal before the PTP in control and study group, to determine the effect of PTP about GCS among Staff Nurses in the study group working in selected hospitals of Bhopal, to compare the knowledge gain of study and control group regarding GCS ,to associate the Pre-interventional level of knowledge on control and study group with their selected demographic variables. newlineThe conceptual frame work adopted for the study was based on Imogene M. King s) Goal attainment model for achieving the objectives of the study. The study was conducted at RKDF Medical College, Hospital and Research Center, Bhopal, Bhabha General Hospital, Bhopal, Shri R.N. Kapoor Memorial Hospital, Bhopal and Narmada Apna Hospital Hoshangabad (M.P.) from 10th January 2018- 31st January 2019. A total of 300 Registered Staff Nurses were selected and divided into two equal group s i.e.150 Registered Staff Nurses in Study Group and 150 in Control Group. The Researcher gave information to the Registered Staff Nurses about Glass coma Scale. The Staff Nurses were selected by simple random sampling with lottery method. After obtaining informed written consent from the Staff Nurses of Study and Control Group, their Socio Demographic Data was collected on Demographic Variable Data Sheet after this the Self Structured Questionnaire was administered to the Study and Control Group, to assess Pre-interventional knowledge score of the Registered Staff Nurses. newlineGCS Interventions were taught to the Study Group (n=150) with the help of Planned teaching Programme as PPT of 45 minutes duration followed by 15 minutes for discussion whereas the Control Group (n=150) did not received any in
