Abstract: ABSTRACT newlineAn experimental study was conducted to assess the Effect of Computer Assisted Teaching on knowledge of Registered Staff Nurses regarding the Non Pharmacological Interventions during first stage of labour to improve Maternal and Fetal outcome among primi parturient mothers of selected hospitals at Bhopal (M.P.) . newlineObjectives of the Study were, to develop a Computer Assisted Teaching (CAT) program on the Non-Pharmacological Interventions during first stage of labour to improve maternal and fetal outcome among primi parturient mothers, to assess the knowledge score of Registered Staff Nurses of Study and Control group on the Non-Pharmacological Interventions during first stage of labour to improve maternal and fetal outcome among primi parturient mothers, to assess the effects of Computer Assisted Teaching (CAT) on the Study group regarding knowledge gain on the Non-Pharmacological Interventions during first stage of labour to improve maternal and fetal outcome among primi parturient mothers, to compare the knowledge gain of Study and Control group regarding the Non-Pharmacological Interventions of first stage of labour to improve maternal and fetal outcome among primi parturient mothers and to associate the pre-Interventional level of knowledge of Study and Control group with their selected demographic variables. newlineThe conceptual frame work adopted for the study was based on Stufflebeam s (CIPP) evaluation model for achieving the objectives of the study. The study was conducted at RKDF Medical College, Hospital and Research Center, Bhopal, Bhabha General Hospital, Bhopal, Shri R.N. Kapoor Memorial Hospital, Bhopal and Narmada Apna Hospital Hoshangabad (M.P.) from 10th January 2018- 31st January 2019. A total of 300 Registered Staff Nurses were selected and divided into two equal groups i.e.150 Registered Staff Nurses in Study group and 150 in Control group.
