Abstract: In this era, smartphones plays a crucial role in every individual s especially among newlineadolescents. It is important to study the effects of smartphone addiction on insomnia and newlineaggression among adolescent students especially adolescent boys. Adolescence, transitional newlinephase of growth and development between childhood and adulthood. The World Health newlineOrganization (WHO) defines an adolescent as any person between ages 10 and 19 years. This newlinepaper explores Efficacy of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) in Managing Smartphone newlineAddiction, Insomnia and Aggression among Adolescent Boys. One hundred and fifty (150) newlinestudents were participated in the study. They were assessed using Smartphone Addiction Scale newlinedeveloped by Kwol et al, (2013), Insomnia Inventory by The London Sleep Centre (2004), and newlineAggression Questionnaire by Buss (2000). Fifty-Eight (58) students were selected and exposed newlineto Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) for the duration of one month with alternative days newlinelasts for 2 hours each session. After completion of the intervention, the fifty-eight students newlinewere reassessed with the same set of questionnaires, with a duration of one month of time newlineinterval, they were reassessed again for the follow-up phase. The Cognitive Behaviour Therapy newline(CBT) comprised of targeting maladaptive behaviour, emotion regulation, track usage, autosuggestions, newlinesleep hygiene, self-reinforcement, psycho-education, self-monitoring, cognitive newlinerehearsal, role play/modelling, and journaling assignments. Significant differences have been newlineobserved in three phases i.e., Before, After and Follow-Up. Mean, Standard Deviation, newlineRepeated Measures ANOVA, Bonferroni Post Hoc Test. The results clearly depicts that the newlineuse of smartphone was reduced, the symptoms of insomnia and aggressive behaviours were newlinereduced considerably after the intervention programme. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy was newlinefound to be effective on managing the level of smartphone addiction, insomnia and aggression among adolescent boys.
