Abstract: | Ultrasound (US) imaging has remained a popular diagnostic newlineequipment in different medical applications for last few decades. This newlinetechnology is one of the economic and risk-free among medical imaging newlinesystems. However, the analysis and comprehension of ultrasound images is a newlinemassive challenge. This is primarily owing to the several kinds of noise newlineknown as speckle being present, which can also be observed in same kind newlineof imaging systems like Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) and laser imaging. newlineIn order to resolve this problem, phase one presents Improved newlineThreshold based Wavelet Transformation Method (ITWTM), and to improve newlinethe de-noising of images, the soft threshold technique is proposed. In order to newlineimprove the visual quality of noise-affected images, it just transforms the newlinecoefficients using the soft-thresholding technique. But it suffers from few newlinedrawbacks like high computational complexity, shift variance etc. newlineTherefore, with the aim of resolving this problem, the phase two newlinedeveloped an application of dual complex wavelet transform algorithm that is newlinequite superior to the previous techniques and yields better outcomes.
