Abstract: | Cloud computing enables on-demand, ubiquitous, measured, cost newlineeffective, distributed and uninterrupted provisioning of resources through newlinevirtualization. Cloud computing technology facilitates the delivery of storage, newlinedevelopment environment or software applications as services over the newlineInternet. Cloud computing offers a wide variety of benefits to its consumers newlineand this attracts business organizations to shift their services and invest more in newlinethis technology paradigm. As a result, large numbers of similar cloud services newlinehaving different attributes are developed by cloud service providers to serve the newlinecloud user needs. This makes services selection, a significant challenge for newlineusers to select cloud services that best suit their requirements. The selection of newlinecloud services is modelled as a multi criteria decision making problem as it newlineinvolves multidimensional Quality of Service attributes. Due to the vast newlinediversity of cloud services, the services selection problem gains a lot of newlineattention from both academia and industry. newlineCloud users want cloud services that best suit their functional and nonfunctional newlinerequirements in an appropriate manner. The mandatory functional newlinerequirements are satisfied by all cloud service providers. Hence, the Quality of newlineService attributes is used to distinguish one service alternative from the other newlineand considered for services selection. The increasing number of cloud services newlineand user specific requirements becomes a significant challenge for decision newlinemakers to select cloud services. This research work aims to propose a semantic newlinebased framework for cloud services selection. newline |
