Abstract: Today, no other language dominates the world policies, world sciences, world trades, world media, and world literature like English. At present, the knowledge of English has become a global necessity. It is a language spoken across boundaries, cultures, and religions. It gives the users more mobility and more opportunities both inside and outside the country. It also provides them with modern ideas and knowledge which are necessary to compete in the modern world. Rather English serves as a glass ceiling concerning jobs. Several multinational companies have come into the country. What perhaps is so clearly recognized is the growing need for meeting the challenges posed by the rapidly changing international environment? Hence, it is necessary to improve the proficiency level of the students and enable the students of today and professionals of tomorrow to survive in the globalized world. Thus, realize the new significance of the English language and help the students achieve good command over English. Similarly, Homi K. Bhabha s denotation of Hybridization aims to reveal plurality of cultures, races, ethnicities, colours and consciousness s that has been reflected through literary narratives. Bhabha s connotation reveals linguistic hybridization as the by-product of cultural to political hybridization during the postcolonial period. The advent of globalization and industrialization has brought greater transformation in the living standards of people across the globe. The same has altered the due course of social, political, economic, and religious standards of living. This has resulted with hybridity in every aspect of life. As literature reflects the social conditioning, the contemporary literary theory and ideologies have aptly reflected this hybridization through literary narratives. newlineThe development of the English language in India can be divided into three stages: The pre-Independence period, the Post-Independence period, and English in the globalization era (a decade ago).
