It is also a phase where the space between the haves newlineand the have not s is growing. Many social problems like lack of education, starvation, newlinepoverty, fitness issues, sanitation, housing etc. have arisen out of this situation. With newlinethe growing consciousness in each set of organizations, there may be a crying need to newlinebring in change at a greater speed and near the gap. Organizations have begun to newlineexamine those social and are carrying out their own initiatives to attend to them. Now newlinethe companies no longer regard profit as their sole purpose, which has helped many newlinecorporations to stay alive in the long term but at the same time giving something back newlineto the society wherein they operate. They have contributed extensively for the newlinebetterment of the society as a whole. There s a growing trend of corporations adopting newlinesocially responsible initiatives. newlineThe concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is explained in detail and some newlineexamples of Indian companies implementing CSR from the past have been mentioned. newlineThe next point is about the Carroll s Pyramid of Social Responsibility. This CSR newlinepyramid is primarily based on four element viewpoint, economic, legal, ethical and newlinephilanthropic perspective.
