Abstract: Cancer is a disease of uncontrolled cell division and prolonged cell survival, in which cells newlinemigrate to different parts of the body and form a secondary tumor. In addition, the process newlineof apoptosis, a natural cellular process of programmed cell death of unwanted, unhealthy, newlineand transformed cells, is typically inhibited in cancer cells. Cancer cells inhibit apoptosis newlineby altering the levels of apoptosis regulatory molecules. In turn, the dysregulated newlineapoptosis machinery is reported to play a significant role in protecting cancer cells from newlinedeath. Hence, induction of apoptosis is considered as one of the best methods for the newlinedevelopment of novel cancer therapeutic strategies, and chemicals with the potential to newlineelicit apoptosis are regarded as promising anticancer therapeutic drugs. Therefore, newlinederegulated apoptosis is the most popular and successful target for developing anticancer newlinetherapeutic strategies. newline
