Abstract: | Women s empowerment refers to the conception of a setting for women where they can make newlinechoices of their own for their personal profits as well as for the society. A lot is being done newlinethese days on the need for the empowerment of women. Women continues to suffer and newlinesuppose to have an inferior status in society as compared to their male counterparts. newlineUnderstanding ways which gender impacts and is impacted by demographic and socioeconomic newlinevariables, and some developmental processes is of enormous interest to population newlinescientists. This is so because it is believed that empowered women can contribute to the newlinehealth, productivity and benefit of the whole family and community and improved prospects newlinefor the next generation. Although, the performance of India depends on the performance of its newlineconstituent states. The last decade or so following reforms saw an improvement in economic newlinegrowth and social development as well as reproductive health practices or utilization in the newlinecountry as a whole. newline |
